Top of the World

IMG_4383

Well, ok, more like top of Ireland! More holiday photos from the North Antrim and North Donegal coastline… The jacket is red wool boucle fabric with a matching silk scarf, but more of a car coat really.

This is Malin Head at the top of the Inishowen peninsula, you can just about see in the background ’80 Eire’, this was used during World War 2 as a navigation aid for pilots, so they would know they were flying over neutral Ireland. Each site was numbered from 1 to 83, there are remains all along the west coast, and some have been restored like this one on Malin Head.

And here we are at the famous Carrick a Rede rope bridge, Game of Thrones fans will recognise this!! It was truly scary to cross, it moves. A LOT.

IMG_4399

More amazing things to see in Glenveagh National Park too, but we just missed Prince Charles visit!! Pity…

I’m skipping ahead a bit here but I love this Poulnabrone Dolmen in the Burren in County Clare. It dates back to the Neolithic Period between 4200bc-2900BC. Wow.

More to follow!

The Old Abbey

IMG_3677

New Season, New Collection! Spring has sprung and this is a new Barbie coat for the occasion. Lavender wool with green diamante buttons, and a matching hat and scarf in a light turquoise colour silk. I love this colour combination.

The location is the beautiful Mellifont Abbey in Louth.

Powerscourt

IMG_3282

The weather is getting much colder so time for winter coats. A cold day at Powerscourt House and Gardens in Wicklow was the location for these shots. This coat is made from a vintage blue and green check wool fabric, the underside has a nice contrast so I flipped it for the scarf. I added a matching brooch and bracelet, of course.
